ADMISSION CRITERIA FOR FOREIGN STUDENTS IN BELARUS AT THE SOCIAL SCIENCE FACULTY

Belarus has made it much easier for foreign students to get admission to any state-owned university in Belarus for their social science degree programs with broad course options.

For a bachelor’s degree admission, interested foreign students scan their secondary school certificate with a passport copy in the email of the admissions office.

The admissions office assesses their documents for admission eligibility and notifies them within 1-2 days.

This same process applies to master’s course applicants, but they scan their bachelor’s degree too for the eligibility assessment.

Eligible international applicants, once notified, send their admission fee and scan the admission fee receipt to the admissions office via email, which they used to send their admission documents.

Ineligible students are requested to provide more academic documents for their admissions process.

After receiving the admission fee receipt, the admissions office forwards their admission documents to the migration department in order to issue an official study invitation for visa processing. This issuance process at the migration department takes two weeks maximum, and the original invitation is delivered to the admissions office, which is later sent to the foreign student for his or her visa processing.

BELARUS STUDY VISA PROCESS FOR FOREIGN STUDENTS

Once international students receive their official study invitation issued by the migration department, they depart from their homeland, and the visa is stamped at Minsk International Airport. The visa fee is 110 dollars to be paid at the immigration counter in Minsk.

The Belarus Embassy is situated in a few countries, and their nationals must obtain visas before arrival and scan their visa copy to us. These countries are Nigeria, India, Pakistan, Kenya, South Africa, and Egypt, but these nationals may also obtain visas on arrival.

We advise all foreign students to scan their air ticket three days before departure, as the admissions office needs to prepare their reception documents for immigration at Minsk International Airport.
